At the old port of Kilchberg sits a timber frame house with red beams that could tell quite a few stories. Here village gossip, sailors’ yarns and fish stories are woven together to create new tales of enjoyment, taste and comfort. Inside the Hafenbeiz, floorboards creak and stomachs growl. Anyone who is homesick for warming, rustic dishes can drop their anchor here. Guests come from near and far to relish the pleasure of sitting in a pub that feels like home. Take a seat in the pub, bar or winter garden and treat yourself to some well-deserved delicacies.

This is a magical feeling of its own, especially when a squall blows up and the weather is downright nasty. As soon as the weather clears up and temperatures reach the 20s again, the Hafenbeiz moves out directly onto the harbour shore in the Mönchhof am See. That’s what we call a win-win situation. Lake Zurich and Magical Moments with Christian’s Boat Shuttle

Captain Christian, the most charming rascal on Lake Zurich, is offering his boat service again this winter, complete with co-pilot. Perfect for small, quiet rides across the mirror-like, starry waters of Lake Zurich. The romantically decorated boat accommodates up to 12 people. Enjoy an aperitif, snacks, and, by arrangement, meat and cheese platters or other delights. A ride on this elegant taxi boat against the backdrop of the winter-night-lit city is the perfect start to a wonderful evening with family or friends.

Prices: CHF 300 per hour
Transfer rides: CHF 180 within the Lake Zurich basin
Empty trips and waiting times: CHF 100 per hour
Passenger capacity: max. 12 adults
On board, cash and Twint are accepted

Christian Gerig holds a license for refined entertainment as well as a permit for commercial passenger transport on Lake Zurich.
